RATES SHOW DIVERSITY ON DIFFERENT LANES

Apr 02,2008 by JC LOGISTICS

1. Europe and Mediterraneans: it hasn‘t been reported of much increase of the export volume. The rates almost keep the same as those at the end of March, even though BAF and CAF were increased.
2. North America: most of the carriers increased their rates for USWC by about USD50/TEU. But the rates for USEC won‘t be changed before Apr. 15.
3. Middle East and ISC area: export volume is resuming. But the rates policy of carriers are flexible due to the floating market situation.
4. South East Asia: some carriers increased their rates.
5. Oceania: some carriers reduce their rates again due to lack of volume support.
6. Africa: some carriers running Eastern and Western Africa increased their rates by USD200-300/TEU. But some others won‘t change their rates until Apr. 15.
7. South America: GRI was applied by most of the carriers. And the level is between USD150-200/TEU.
