Jun 12,2008 by JC LOGISTICS

  1. Europe&Mediterraneans: export volume resumes a little. The rates are steady. It's estimated that carriers will increase the rates from this Jun 15. But most carriers are still waiting for competitors' action.
  2. North America: It's said that PSS will be implemented from Jun 15. But some carriers like PIL and MAERSK have reported not to do it definitely.
  3. Middle East and ISC area: most of the carriers are still offering the same rates as last week. It's estimated that PSS will be added up to the current rates. But just like other lanes, carriers haven't reported anything for sure. It will depend on the market situation.
  4. Southeast Asia: the congestion in Singapore is being released. Most of the cargo can catch up the second leg vessel smoothly.
  5. Japan&Korea: rates for Japan will be increased.
  6. Africa: CSCL cancelled the direct service to western and southern Africa in Jun temporarily. The resuming time is to be announced. Some carriers will increase the rates from Jun 15. But nothing is confirmed officially.
  7. South America: some carriers will increase the rates from Jun 15. <
