RATES ARE NOT INCREASED MUCH EXCEPT FOR LATIN AMERICA

Apr 02,2008 by JC LOGISTICS

1. South East Asia: the export volume is growing. BAF was increased by USD5/10 per 20‘/40‘. Some lanes are having tight space, such as for Bangkok and Port Klang.
2. Middle East and Red Sea: plenty of space. And the rates are still going down.
3. Europe and Mediterraneans: plenty of space. The rates are just like in last week. BAF and CAF were adjusted from Apr. And Suez Canal Transit Surcharge will be applied at USD9/TEU.
4. Oceania: no much export volume and the rates are still going down.
5. Africa: MAERSK reduces the rates for Southern and Western Africa. Other carriers keep the rates stable.
6. North America: rates remain unchanged.
7. Caribbean Sea and Latin America: space seems very tight. All the carriers applied GRI.
