Volume for Southeast Asia is still Growing

  1. Southeast Asia: the export volume is still growing. Carriers are short of space and containers, especially for Bangkok, Port Klang and Manila. Some carriers increased their rates in May. And all the carriers will increase the rates by USD30/50 per 20'/40' in June.
  2. Middle East and Red Sea: some carriers begin to increase the rates. OOCL and PIL have increased USD50 per TEU. Other carriers haven't had any change on their rates yet.
  3. Europe and Mediterraneans: plenty of space available. Some carriers like CSCL and IRISL reduced the rates by about USD25 per TEU. BAF for Europe in June will be adjusted to USD556/TEU, for western Medeterraneans will be adjusted to USD546/TEU. And CAF will be adjusted to 18.2%.
  4. Oceania: most of the carriers reduced the ocean freight, such as EMC, PIL and HYUNDAI reduced the rates by about USD50/TEU.
  5. Africa: MAERSK reduced the rates by USD100/TEU for southern Africa, USD30/TEU for western Africa. Other carriers haven't changed their rates.
  6. North America: the space is still a problem due to the carriers reduced their transportation capability on this lane. PSS will be added up to the current rates in June. The standard is between USD320/400/450 per 20'/40'/40'HQ.
  7. Caribbean Sea and Latin America: plenty of space. And rates remain the same as last week. GRI at USD150/TEU will be applied
