Jun 12,2008 by JC LOGISTICS

  1. Southeast Asia: rates are the same as in last week. Space for Jakarta, Surabaya and Samarang are tight. Some carriers like OOCL and PIL stop accepting cargo to these ports temparorily.
  2. Middle East and Red Sea: OOCL reduced their rates a little since this week, while others remain unchanged.
  3. Europe&Mediterraneans: plenty of space available. Most of the carriers are reducing the basic ocean freight rates continuously, such as CSCL, SAFMARINE and COSCO. HANJIN launched a service named EMX starts from Shenzhen to Istanbul, Constanta and Odessa.
  4. Oceania: the export volume is steady. The rates remain the same as last week.
  5. Africa: the rates remain the same as last week.
  6. North America: MSC reduced the basic ocean freight. But others remain unchanged.
  7. Caribbean Sea and Latin America: nothing changed on rates this week.
